Julia Nobrega completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology at Mount A in ’05. While at MTA, Brega (as she was known at MTA) was a proud member of the Women’s Soccer Varsity Team and Leadership Mount A. She entered as a Trueman House Frosh, established herself as a Harper Hall Monitor and left as the Life Class President of 2005.

After graduating from Mount A, she has always worked in inner city Toronto. She started working at an United Way agency, St. Christopher House, as a Child and Youth worker. She supported underprivileged youth in drug and alcohol prevention. This experience led her to complete her Bachelors of Education at Niagara University in Ontario in 2009. Since then Julia has flourished as a high school Science, Mathematics and Phys Ed teacher. Julia’s love is primarily to influence students that she coaches. She instills discipline, hard work, and passion for sports in her famous 7AM practices.

Julia Nobrega continues to express her passion for Mount A as she actively promotes and encourages her students and other student athletes in Toronto to join the MTA family. She is looking forward to her new role as Alumni Director to continue to support the school that she so passionately adores and supports.
