The physics department encourages visitors. If you are a prospective student you can contact us to set up a visit to see our labs and talk to faculty. If you are a physics alumni passing through town, please drop in and say hello.
Each school year we invite high school physic classes to visit our department for part (or all) of a school day. During each school’s visit, your students will be given a tour of the Physics Department, be involved in hands-on physics experiments, be given a presentation by the admissions department and visit physics researchers. The experiments can be customized depending on what your students are learning at the time, and the format can be varied for each high school depending on your interests.
As well, we have the possibility of having researchers visit your classroom to talk about physics research and what they do. This can be customized depending on your interests.
Please contact the department (physics [at] mta.ca) for further information.
