  • studying piano but also plays violin
  • started out studying science but always knew she wanted to study music
  • plans to pursue a master’s degree after Mount A – interested in performance but also music cognition
  • works as a concert tech for events in Brunton Auditorium, teaches piano, and played for three years in the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra
  • believes that music is a very subjective form of art that means something different to everyone

Sackville, NB

  • teaches at Tantramar Regional High School, grades 9-12 band and vocal ensemble
  • chose Mount A because a girl from her high school who she admired came here
  • was a recipient of the dean’s list scholarship every year she attended
  • her MtA roommate now works in Tanya’s hometown while Tanya stayed in Sackville
  • feels the best thing about Mount Allison was the friendships she made
