On behalf of the entire Mount Allison community, I am delighted to have this opportunity to welcome you and to wish you a wonderful Orientation. This orientation time is a terrific opportunity to familiarize yourselves with this institution – its people, its places, its programs, and all of its possibilities. I hope that you can take every opportunity that the Orientation Committee has provided for you. This experience can be a solid and useful basis for success this year and in coming years at Mount Allison. I look forward to meeting you all during this period and at future events. Have a great Orientation, and a wonderful year. Good luck, and do not hesitate to contact me – even if it’s just for a good chat or to let me know how things are going. A message from Natasha Kochhar, Orientation Chair
Hi Mounties! I am thrilled to welcome you to the Mount Allison community. My name is Natasha Kochhar and this year I’m your University Orientation Chair! A little bit about me; I’m a 4th year student from Sydney, Nova Scotia studying International Relations, Political Science and Religious Studies. This summer I’ll be working with the Department of Student Life and the Mount Allison Students Union (MASU) to plan Orientation Week. Your first week at Mount Allison is unforgettable. It’s the perfect time to make new friends, explore Sackville and adjust to life away from home. Orientation Week is planned with the intention to make this adjustment easier for you. There will be a number of activities that will vary in energy level to get you acquainted with students, faculty and staff of Mount Allison as well as the town of Sackville. To help make these activities memorable, I’ve put together the best team of upper year students who want your Orientation Week to be the best it can possibly be! Move in Day will be here before you know it and the Orientation Committee, Orientation Crew and I are so excited to meet you. Get ready to make lots of friends, memories that will last a lifetime and have a blast. It’s only a matter of months before you’ll be in Sackville so get ready to ‘Make Yourself at Home’. If you have any questions about Orientation please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org at any time.
