Lindsay James ('14)
Fourth-year chemistry student Lindsay James was a key player for the Hockey Mounties as they competed in the 2014 AUS championships.

James is an assistant captain and forward for the team that narrowly missed the AUS top spot.

“I chose Mount A for several reasons. One of the main influencing factors was my brother Tyler; he graduated in 2012 and always spoke highly of the school,” she says. “Following him to Mta provided me with the excitement of a new adventure but also a sense of home at the same time.”

James, who has been playing hockey since age five, also credits Mounties coach Zach Ball for bringing her to Mount A.

“Coach Ball influenced my decision because of his emphasis on the importance of being strong in the classroom and on the ice. I knew Mount A would provide me with a high end education.”

Outside of school and hockey James enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing box lacrosse. This past summer she was a member of the Nova Scotia Jr. provincial lacrosse team, participating in nationals hosted in her hometown of Halifax, NS.

James will be graduating this spring with a degree in chemistry and plans to pursue a career in either dentistry or pharmacy.
