The New Brunswick Occupational Health & Safety Act requires employers to meet certain standards in the provision of first aid services to employees. The details of Mount Allison’s campus first aid plan for employees may be found in the First Aid at Work policy. Under the campus first aid plan for employees, teams of designated first aid providers are responsible for providing first aid services to the buildings within each of four campus sectors. The designated first aid providers are also responsible for first aid kits that have been placed in each academic and administrative building. Designated first aid providers are also trained in the use of debrillators. There are two debrillators on campus - one in Custodial/Security (ext. 2444) and the other at the Circulation Desk in the library. The First Aid at Work policy also includes references to emergency communication, emergency transportation and reporting procedures. |
