Scented Products:
Perfume, cologne, aftershave, deodorant, soap, shampoo, hairspray, bodyspray, makeup, and powders.  Examples of other products with added scents include air fresheners, fabric softeners, laundry detergents, cleaners, carpet deodorizers, facial tissues, and candles.  Some industrial cleaning products may also contribute to the discomfort of those sensitive to scents.

Scent Free Products:  most personal care products are available in fragrance free or unscented forms.  This is not a guarantee that these products are truly without any added scents because some manufacturers add an ingredient which simply masks the scent.  One may have to test different brands to find ones that do not cause symptoms.

Multiple Chemical Sensitivity:  a chronic medical condition characterized by symptoms which may be vague and non-specific but which can also include all of those experienced by people who are sensitive to scents.  This illness by be exacerbated by scented products and may be so severe that a person is unable to function normally.
