Some people experience symptoms such as (but not limited to) headache, nausea, shortness of breath, dizziness, disorientation when scented products are present. This may cause illness that results in the inability to concentrate and to work effectively.

The purpose of the Awareness Campaign on Scents in the Workplace is to:

1. To inform the community of the problems that individuals can face in the presence of perfumed personal care products.

2. To provide guidelines for dealing with situations which may arise.

3. To solicit the voluntary help of the community in addressing these situations.
