What to do if you have a health & safety concern

Health & Safety Concerns

What should you do if you have a health & safety concern?

If you notice a dangerous situation or an area of concern on campus, contact Facilities Management at 2444 or by email at fixit@mta.ca. They will dispatch assistance or forward the matter to the appropriate person for follow-up.

If it is a problem or concern which pertains to a building on campus, it is best to contact your Building Manager. If it is an emergency and the Building Manager is not available, contact Facilities Management and let the Building Manager know about it.

Following is a list of Building Managers: 2007/08 Building Managers

If it is a Facilities matter and requires immediate action outside of regular office hours (Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30), then you can call 2452.

Other health & safety concerns should normally be brought to your Supervisor.

Feel free to contact a member of the Health & Safety committee if you feel that it is a matter that the committee should be aware of, or if you are not making satisfactory progress through the above channels.
