Description: The Director of Facilities Management is responsible for the
effective operation of the Department as a whole in the accomplishment of
the Mission Statement . The managers and supervisors listed below are held
responsible for the provision of daily service in their area of the operation
and they should be contacted to deal with specific problems or concerns. |

No work on campus is to be done without a work-order which is now created
by the Work Reception, therefore all work requests must first come here.

Description: The FRM is responsible to review and prioritize customer requests for service
including major or minor renovations, space allocation changes, interior
finishes and furniture procurement. Responsibilities also include establishment
of replacement cycles for painting, flooring and furniture for academic
and residence buildings as well as policies for key and lock management,
and cost recoveries. |

Description: General building maintenance including repairs to roofs, flooring, doors, locks, hardware and windows. This group is also involved with minor repairs/modifications to furniture, paint touch-ups as well as pest control. |

Custodial
and Operations Manager: Donna Hurley |
Description: Custodial provides general cleaning duties on campus that include emptying of garbage cans and recycling containers, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting. In addition to regular duties, they are responsible for light bulb replacement and an annual schedule for the refinishing of floors and carpet shampooing and the cyclical cleaning of draperies. Technical Services Manager Electrical, Mechanical,Plumbing & Heating: Perry Eldridge C.E.T.peldridge@mta.ca |
Description: This includes the required repairs and operation of elevators and all systems on campus related to heating, cooling, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and fire alarms. This department also provides all building fire-extinguishers. |
| Grounds Manager:

Description: The Grounds Department is responsible for the maintenance of lawns, plants,
flowers, roads, parking lots and walkways - including snow removal - as
well as the Athletic Fields. In addition to these duties, essential support
services are carried out by Grounds such as daily refuse removal & delivery
services, event arrangements, moves and other miscellaneous assignments,
designated at the discretion of Facilities Management. |
| Projects Manager:
|
Description: The Project Manager is responsible for all major interior and exterior renovations
on campus that involve any or all building systems (mechanical, HVAC, electrical)
and building structure, and has been responsible for the construction of
our new tunnels and ongoing warranties and maintenance. The Project Manager
is also responsible for keeping track, on a data base, all of the University's
Deferred Maintenance and the prioritization of work required. |
| Health/Safety and Security Coordinator: |
Description: The Health/Safety and Security Coordinator is responsible for the campus security officers who provide security patrols on campus to ensure the safety of students and staff. The officers respond to emergency situations and enforce student governance and parking regulations.The Health/Safety and Security Coordinator coordinates safety training for Facilities Management and others, conducts safety inspections and incident/accident investigations. |
