Mount Allison’s Faculty of Science maintains the proud tradition of educating students for careers in science and technology, as well as providing an excellent base for graduate and doctoral studies.
The University is committed to developing well-rounded students who have many passions. That means we want you to explore all of your interests. So even if your major is biology, we encourage you to take a class in drama or political science. There is also lots of choice within the Faculty of Science itself. There are many areas to choose from — everything from aviation to physics.
Mount Allison’s choice to remain small in size means that our students have unparalleled opportunities to participate in active research projects through summer undergraduate research and honours projects. Mount Allison collaborates with research universities and institutes around the world, offering our students access to world-class research experiences. Upper-level science students are employed as teaching assistants, and through these positions develop skills in communications, teaching techniques, and leadership.
