Nathan Walker, Admissions Counsellor
BSc, Mount Allison University – Biology Honours, International Relations Minor
United States, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, NWT, Nunavut
Originally from the frigid climes of Whitehorse, Yukon, Nathan crossed the country for a Mount Allison education. It was worth it, and during his time as a student, he discovered the incredible range of opportunities a small university can offer and fell in love with Sackville’s friendliness, charm, and unexpectedly rich culture. He was involved with the Students’ Union, Unicef Mount Allison, and the Centre for International Studies, and worked as a teaching assistant in the biology department before beginning his honours research on the molecular stress response of dogfish sharks. As a recent graduate, Nathan’s experience is still fresh, and he is excited to be sharing it. He knows that a university education can be transformative, and truly enjoys helping students figure out their answer to the question, “What comes next?”
