  Universite de Strasbourg

The City of Strasbourg has a population of 400,000 and a colourful and often turbulent history dating back more than 2,000 years. Its location at the crossroads of Europe left Strasbourg open to repeated invasion, pillaging and reconstruction over the centuries, resulting in a rich and varied culture today.

Each September, several Mount Allison students experience a year of academic and personal growth in France. All hope to improve their French through a year of classroom and extracurricular French immersion, and most plan to travel in Europe to experience its rich culture and opportunity. With proper counselling and course selection, they earn Mount Allison credits for academic work successfully completed at the Université de Strasbourg's Institut International d'Etudes Françaises. Our Strasbourg programme attracts young men and women from such varied disciplines as Music, Biology, Modern Languages, Political Studies and History.
