Student Recruitment and Retention Committee

     
Terms of Reference
     
The purpose of the Student Recruitment and Retention Committee (SRRC) is to:
 
1. Provide advice and direction to the Vice-President, Academic and Research, in overseeing the creation and implementation of a coherent student recruitment and retention strategy for the upcoming year;
 
2. Review, discuss, and provide advice on the
a. Effectiveness of the previous year’s enrolment strategy and necessary adjustments for the current year;
b. Schedule of activities, timelines, etc.;
c. Total incoming enrolment targets for the following year;
d. Disaggregated and differentiated enrolment targets where appropriate, including new students, transfer students, regional/national/international targets, enrolment by faculties, special streams, etc.;
e. Appropriate marketing, communication, and recruiting strategies;
f. Best use of resources and personnel;
g. Scholarship, bursary, and financial aid strategies;
h. Appropriate response to initiatives and strategies from our competitor universities.
 
3. Review, discuss, and provide advice on any other aspects of the recruitment and retention process as determined by the Chair.
 
Membership:
  • Vice-President (Academic and Research), Chair
  • One Academic Dean
  • Dean of Students
  • Registrar
  • Manager of Admissions
  • Budget Manager
  • Director of Administrative Services
  • Director of Communications
  • SAC President (or designate)
  • One student (selected by SAC)
  • Two faculty members (staggered tow-year terms)
