The following working groups have been established, with a mandate to develop a mechanism for soliciting feedback, undertake a series of consultations, and issue a report by 15 November 2008.

Steering Committee
The Academic Renewal process will be guided by a steering committee, consisting of the Vice-President, Academic and Research, the Deans, the Chairs of the working groups, the Registrar, and the Vice-President Academic of the SAC (Brian Crouse).

Next Steps
1. The Steering Committee will meet in early May to consider terms of reference for each of the working groups and to discuss the process in general.
2. A report from the Academic Matters Committee (which was asked to provide information regarding current requirements for Honours, Majors, and Minors, to consider other possibilities, and to provide advice based on its expertise) will form the basis of the next Report to the Community. This should be circulated in early May 2008.
