CIS and CCAA Policies |

The
CIS and the CCAA have their own policies, procedures and penalties
respecting the use of banned substances. Nothing in this policy affects
those matters within the authority of the CIS or the CCAA. |

| 3.2 |
Responsibilities |
| |
The
responsibilities of the Director of Physical Recreation and Athletics
are as follows: |
| |
| i) |
to
abide by this policy and by CIS and CCAA policies dealing with
the use of banned substances; |
| ii)
|
to
take reasonable steps to ensure that all student athletes, and
other persons associated with Mount Allison’s athletic
program, abide by this policy and by CIS and CCAA policies dealing
with the use of banned substances; and |
| iii) |
to
investigate any allegation or suspicion that any person covered
by this policy is not meeting his or her responsibilities under
this policy. |

The
responsibilities of persons who coach for or are otherwise involved
with the University’s student athletes are as follows: |
| |
| i) |
to
abide by this policy and by CIS and CCAA policies dealing with
the use of banned substances, |
| ii) |
to
take all reasonable steps to discourage student athletes from
using banned substances; and |
| iii) |
to
report to the Director of Physical Recreation and Athletics
any allegation or suspicion that any person covered by this
policy is not meeting his or her responsibilities under this
policy. |

The
responsibilities of student athletes are as follows: |
| |
| i) |
to
abide by this policy and by CIS and CCAA policies dealing with
the use of banned substances, and |
| ii) |
to refrain from using banned substances, and from encouraging
other student athletes to use banned substances. |
