| Academic Unit Reviews |
The academic unit review process is an important component of Mount Allison’s commitment to accountability and quality assurance. Every academic unit—be it Department, Program, or the Library—is reviewed over a ten-year period. The initial phase of the review consists of a self-study prepared by the unit, a report prepared following a site visit by an external review team, and the unit’s response to the external report. Approximately five years afterwards, a mid-term review with the unit will be scheduled. The coordination of all unit reviews is the responsibility of the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic and Research. |
The process is governed by the Senate Academic Unit Review Policy and overseen by the Senate Committee on University Planning. |
