Mail Services

Services for Students

All full time students living on or off campus at Mount Allison are required to use a mail box address for all incoming letter mail and packages.   The student Mail Room is located in the basement of the Wallace McCain Student Centre.  Mail keys are given out during Orientation and are kept until graduation from Mount Allison.  Your box number will remain the same as long as your account is in good standing with Mount Allison.

All mail – letters and packages – should be address to the mail box number assigned to you in your Orientation mail out.  Please use the civic mailing address below:

Your Name
Mount Allison University
62A York Street, Unit # _____
Sackville, NB   E4L 1H3

If you receive a package too large to fit in your mail box you will get a card in your box telling you where to pick up your parcel.  All parcels are kept at the Bookstore.  Absolutely do not use your residence room in your address as it will cause delays in sorting your mail.  We have 2387 mail boxes for full and part time students and mail is usually sorted and in your box by 11:00am each working day.  Stamps are available downtown at the Post Office and the drug store.  Stamped outgoing mail can be dropped off at the bookstore between 8:30am – 4:30am Monday to Friday or can be placed in the Canada Post boxes on York Street.  Students are responsible to changing their own forwarding address during the summer months.

Please note:  Canada Post does not deliver to resident buildings.  The Town of Sackville does not have letter carrier service.  Courier trucks are not allowed access to residence and campus buildings for security and safety reasons.  If a courier or freight package arrives addressed to you then you will receive a card in your mail box to come to the Bookstore to sigh out your shipment.
