Department Photocopiers

Departmental Support Services is responsible for the management of the 33 small photocopiers located in department and public service areas of the campus. Mount Allison University and twelve other Maritime universities are covered under an agreement negotiated by Interuniversity Services for 754 campus photocopiers. The contract covers a five year period commencing August 1, 2000. IKON Office Solutions out of Halifax, NS is the contracted vendor.

The models chosen for this new agreement are the Canon Imagerunner 210 and the Imagerunner 330 which are both digital multifunction units to serve as photocopiers and printers for departments. Fax and scan board options are available - please email mstrain@mta.ca for more information on this. Most of the public service photocopiers located in the Libraries are the Canon NP3050 model.

The cost per copy to campus departments is seven cents per copy or print. This cost covers the cost of copier rental, paper, service and toner. Metre readings are collected at the end of each month by DSS staff.
