All freight and courier shipments are delivered to Departmental Support Services (in Bookstore) which is the central shipping and receiving department for Mount Allison University. Courier vans and freight trucks are not allowed access to our pedestrian campus for security and safety reasons. Outgoing courier and freight shipments are processed at Departmental Support Services only.
PLEASE NOTE: all outgoing courier shipments for Purolator, Priority Courier and Federal Express must be at the Bookstore in the Student Center for processing by 3:30 pm at the latest each day.
All courier and freight companies operating in Southeastern New Brunswick provide delivery service to Mount Allison. Purolator Courier, Federal Express, FedEx Ground, Loomis, Midland Express, Sameday, STS Courier, UPS, City Wide, CanPar, Armour Transport, Baughan's Transport, Day & Ross Transport, Maritime-Ontario, Midland Transport arrive daily with deliveries. Purolator Courier, Federal Express and Day & Ross are the current preferred vendors for out going shipments but other arrangements can be made if necessary.
Staff at Departmental Support Services verify and sign for all shipments on behalf of Mount Allison University staff and students. Shipments are checked for damage before acceptance. Shipments for students are held at DSS and must be signed out as soon as possible after notification in your mail box. Shipments of goods purchased with University funds are delivered to the end user in one of the two daily mail runs or the afternoon campus freight run.
Need to
ship to Mount Allison?
For students please use your assigned Mount Allison address - we will
notify you when your parcel or envelope arrives. For staff please use
your department civic address and we will deliver the items to you. Goods
must be ordered on a purchase order processed by Financial Services. Incoming
freight costs are charged back to departments or to students if charges
are assessed by shippers or customs brokers.
Need to
ship from Mount Allison?
For students please do not call the courier companies for pick ups at
the residence buildings - direct the truck to the Fawcett Building and
have your outgoing boxes properly addressed and ready. For staff please
contact us at 364-2595 to arrange a pick up and the shipment details.
We make every effort to find the most efficient ways of shipping goods
to their destination. The university contract rates are extended to staff
and students for outgoing shipments.
