Room Draw Application 2013:

Guidelines for Room Draw:


1. You must submit this form via the submit button by Monday, March 4, 2013.


2. You must bring your student ID with you to room draw.

House Draw -Thursday, March 7, 2013 (staying in current residence) Please check for information in your residence for time.

General Draw - Tuesday, March 12, 2013 (moving to another residence) in Avard Dixon Rooms 112 and G12 at 7:00 pm.

The following are your obligations after you participate in room draw or are assigned a room:

a) A $500.00 Residence Deposit must be received at the Registrar's Office by June 3, 2013(this must be received by Mount Allison, not postmarked, by June 3).

b) If you cancel your room in writing or by e-mail to resroom@mta.ca after June 3, 2013, a $25.00 Room Draw Fee will be charged to your account.

c) If neither the $500.00 deposit nor a room cancellation has been received by the Registrar's Office by June 3, 2013 at 4:00 pm; you must send the $500.00 Housing Deposit plus a $100.00 Room Holding Fee to the Registrar's Office or you will lose your room and the $25.00 room Holding Fee will be charged to your account.

All students who have drawn into residence for the 2013/14 academic year, and did not pay their housing fee by June 3, 2013 will lose their selected room effective June 4. They will have the option of residence  at a later date based on availability only.


I understand that if, after paying my Residence Deposit, I inform the University in writing or by e-mail at resroom@mta.ca, that I will not occupy my room, my refund, if any will be paid according to the following schedule:

up to June 3- refund $475.00
June 4 to June 17 - refund $400.00
June 18 to July 08 - refund $200.00
July 9 to August 12 - refund $150.00
August 13 and after - no refund

I understand that once I enter residence in September, I will be responsible for my full residence and meal plan fees and if I later withdraw from residence I will only be entitled to the refunds detailed in Section 4 - Fees in the University Calendar.
