Just prior to the general university Orientation at the beginning of the term, Mount Allison provides a comprehensive International Orientation for first-year international students. Designed to introduce international students to Canada and the Mount Allison community, it is also a great way to meet other international students. Mount Allison students, some of who are international students, coordinate the International Orientation. Orientation includes a variety of activities, all of which provide great opportunities to meet new people and prepare for the academic year. Our students find that it greatly assists them with their cultural adjustment and is highly recommended.

Don’t worry about purchasing winter clothing before you leave home. Part of International Orientation is a shopping trip to buy appropriate clothes. At other times throughout the year, there will be opportunities to travel to Moncton or Halifax for shopping.
