Mount Allison has been ranked the #1 undergraduate university in the country for 15 out of the past 21 years — a record unmatched by any other university. Mount Allison has also received high marks in a number of different categories, including first place for student awards and library holdings and second place in the reputational survey, awards per full-time faculty, and library expenses. The Globe and Mail Report Card

Mount Allison earned high marks in the 2011 Globe and Mail University Report Card, based on the opinions of 35,000 Canadian undergraduate students.

The University earned straight A's in the key categories of “quality of education,” “student-faculty interaction,” “class size,” and “atmosphere.” It received A- for “most satisfied students,” “quality of teaching,” and its “environmental commitment.” Mount Allison also received an A- for its “buildings and facilities,” the highest grade awarded in that category.

The NSSE Survey

The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) — administered to thousands of students across North America, showed that Mount Allison is ranked first in student-faculty interaction and among the top in level of academic challenge, enriching educational experience, and student satisfaction.

The University has also produced 50 Rhodes Scholars — nine times in the last eleven years. Our 49th recipient, Kelly O’Connor from Kelowna, BC, is currently pursuing her Master’s in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies at the University of Oxford. Our 50th Rhodes Scholar, Rebecca Anne Dixon from Ottawa, ON, will be pursuing a MPhil in Development Studies in the fall.
