The Department of Biology at Mount Allison is committed to providing students with opportunities for hands-on learning as well as research and laboratory experience.

Independent study and self-learning is encouraged and students interested in advanced studies are welcome to explore their own particular interests.

Small class sizes mean many students get to interact directly with faculty and develop close, collegial relationships. Many stay around for the summer and work side-by-side with their professors on research projects.

Our graduates can be found around the globe — our program is designed to get them there; providing them with the skills, abilities, and knowledge they need to find success in further studies or their chosen careers.
