Note: The listing of a course in the calendar is not a guarantee that the course is offered every year. Note: Students must obtain a grade of at least C- in all courses used to fulfill prerequisite requirements. Otherwise, written permission of the appropriate Department or Programme Coordinator must be obtained. ENST 1001 (3CR) This course will review a range of topics and academic disciplines that contribute to our understanding of environmental issues and contribute to the resolution of environmental problems. Topics ranging from environmental history & ethics to the role of science and economics will be examined. ENST 4000 (6CR) This is a senior, seminar-project course exploring issues in Environmental Studies. Individually or collectively students are encouraged to explore a topic of their own choice, approved by a faculty member in the Environmental Studies programme, and to present their findings both in seminars and in written assignments. Prereq: Fourth-year standing in the Environmental Studies programme; or permission of the supervising instructor and the Environmental Studies Coordinator ENST 4951 (3CR) A course to permit an advanced student to pursue a special topic of environmental study under the supervision of an appropriate instructor.
