| American Studies is an interdisciplinary programme that seeks to help students
understand the United States of America through its history, literature, geography,
politics and economics. The American Studies programme at Mount Allison is designed primarily for
students who are interested in studying American history and literature, and who are also
intrigued by broader thematic and disciplinary concerns in the intellectual apprehension
of the United States. C- in all courses used to fulfill prerequisite requirements. Otherwise, written
