VESPERS is the traditional name for the evening service at the University Chapel.  Leadership is provided by the University Chaplain and student Chapel Assistants.  Worship is celebrated in music and the spoken word, and is open to everyone.  Worship time is 6:00 pm.

Sunday January 8th Mark 1: 16-20   We consider new beginnings in the story of Jesus calling the disciples.
Sunday January 15th   Mark 1: 40-45  We are reminded of the power of human interaction in the story of Jesus healing man afflicted with leprosy
Sunday January 22nd Mark 2: 13-17 In the story of Jesus eating with social outcasts, we are invited to reconsider the ways we understand community.
Sunday January 29th Mark 4: 26-34  The Kingdom of God is at the heart of Jesus’ ministry, and we gain insights into the Kingdom through the parables.
Sunday February 5th   A special service in celebration of African Heritage/Black History Month.
Sunday February 12th Mark 8: 27-36 A profession of faith and a challenge.
     

Note that no services will be held during the University Reading Week, Sunday February 19th and Sunday February 26th.
