Projects
Below are a couple of projects that ACE Mta run successfully in the last academic year
1)OPAS Visionary Seminar 2004: -
This event was held on campus and ACE Mta provided an avenue for students, professors, and industry people (from the surrounding area) to interact whilst listening to a live broadcast from Pamela Wallin (Canada's Consul-General to New York) on Canada-US Relations.
2)ACE Mta Ethical Garrity Campaign: -
This event was run by ACE members to raise the ethical awareness level of students on campus. It involved circulating questions that involved ethical dilemmas around campus and publishing the answers in The Argossy.
3)ACE Mta High School Workshop: -
ACE Mta run a workshop in the Sackville Highschool on global trade and comparative advantage. This took place in the form of a short lecture on the topic and then using "economic" games to further assist the students in understanding these economic concepts.
4)ACE Mta First Nations Project: -
Five students travelled to The Conne River Reserve in New Foundland for a week to run a series of workshops on business marketing, employee motivation, business plan preparation, and webpage design. Participants included The Band Council, business owners, and students from the local high school. Dr. Ausra Burns was also present in Conne River and was the accompanying faculty-member.
5)ACE Mta Poker & Video Games Tournaments: -
In order to release the tension and stressed that faced students around exam period, ACE Mta organized these two events, thus allowing students to take some time off their books and relax in a social environment. The video games tournament was particularly successful.
