Winter

Mount Allison offers
a programme of courses for part-time, non-degree, and “First Year in Moncton”
students. The courses are offered during the evening.
Admission Procedure
Every student
registering
at Mount Allison for the first time must be admitted to the University
by the Admissions Office.
Please complete the full or part-time application form and submit before
trying to register. The full and part-time application forms can be accessed
by clicking here.
Mature Students
Anyone who has been
out of school for more than five years is classified as a mature student.
These persons may be admitted to the University even if they do not meet
normal admissions criteria. All applicants are considered on an individual
basis.
Registration
Students may register
at any time, by mail or in person. If you wish to register, please
complete the registration form available here: Registration
Form.
Tuition Fees
Tuition fees must
be paid at the time of registration by cheque, money order, or cash.
Cheques should be made payable to Mount Allison University. Unfortunately,
credit cards are not accepted. Off campus students pay for all courses
on a per course basis. Senior citizens (over 65) may take all credit courses
free of charge. Tuition fees for the 2008/2009 academic year are:
Canadian Citizens:
$672 (3 credit course)
$1344 (6 credit course)
International
Students: $1344 (3 credit course)
$2688 (6 credit course)
Academic Withdrawals
and Credits to Accounts
Absence from classes
does not constitute withdrawal.
Students who wish to withdraw from a course must do so in writing, by e-mail
at sas@mta.ca, or by Fax: 364-2272.

Books
Books for all courses
may be obtained directly from the Mount Allison Bookstore (364-2225) or
bookstore@mta.ca).
If paid for by credit card, books will be sent out by Purolator; otherwise
books will be sent COD.
Scholarships,
Bursaries and Loans
Full-time student
are eligible for University Scholarships, Bursaries, and Government loans.
Part-time student loans are also available from the government.

Part-time Student Bursary
The Scoudouc River
Part-time Student Bursaries are available to needy New Brunswick
residents who are part time students. The deadline to apply
for Winter term is February 12, 2010.

Dates, Times,
and Locations of Classes - Fall/Winter
Winter classes start
during the week of January 11th. Classes end the week of April
16th.
There is a minimum
number of students required for any one class to run. All classes are
three hours long and once per week at 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
