Renovation and Extension of Athletic Centre

The following images have been taken from a presentation prepared by Davison Seamone Rickard Adams Architects Inc. The design concept is based on results from a study conducted by the firm in 2001 - 2002 which involved 2 series of focus groups and a campus wide questionnaire.

Recommended Options

 Recommended Options

As a result of the study, 5 options were offered:

  Option 1: Retain Status Quo
Option 2: A completely new facility involving demolition of the AC.
Option 3: A new facility combined with a renovated AC.
Option 4: A reduced size new facility, adaptive re-use of McConnell hall as well as a renovated AC.
Option 5: Reduced size new facility, adaptive re-use of McConnell Hall/Trueman House as well as a renovated AC.

Upon further consideration, the recommendation has been narrowed down to two: Option 3 and Option 5. Please take a moment to review the design concepts for the two options and submit your comments below.
