HOW TO APPLY

If you wish to study Fine Arts at Mount Allison there are two steps to take: apply for admission to the University, and apply for admission to the Fine Arts programme. The application deadline to the Fine Arts Programme is February 15. Notification of acceptance will happen within six weeks of this date.

NEW DEADLINE: Please note that the deadline for portfolio submission has changed this year to February 15. No late portfolios will be accepted.

The Fine Arts Programme offers art history and studio courses in the following areas: Drawing, Open Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture. The Fine Arts Programme offers a combination of degrees: a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a Major or Minor in Fine Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with a Major or Minor in Art History. When you apply to the Fine Arts Programme, we ask that you declare which degree you intend to pursue. For more information on each of these degree options, please refer to the Programmes and Courses of Instruction section in the Mount Allison University Calendar.

The Application to the Fine Arts Programme consists of:

- An Art Information Sheet

- A brief written statement

- A portfolio submitted in digital form

- A list of works

We welcome you to visit us and we encourage you to bring your porfolio for review. Please make arrangements through the Fine Arts Department or Campus Tours to schedule a visit.
