Le
Cercle Français The Cercle français is an informal, friendly grouping of Mount Allison students from all disciplines who wish to speak and have fun in French. During Fall semester, an organisational meeting is held where students determine what kinds of activities they would like to pursue during the year, often in coordination with the Maison française. For example: films, outings on bike, on foot, or horseback, evenings of improvisation, games, pool, sliding in the snow, or the ever popular wine and cheese party. Bring your friends and make a few more, all while speaking French. In the past, the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures has sponsored Ciné-club, a monthly film series presenting classic and contemporary films from the French and French-Canadian film repertoire. In 1999, Le Cercle français took over this activity. The films are usually subtitled in English. Admission is free.
