The English Assistants Programme is administered by the French Embassy in Canada, Cultural Services Office, and is open to graduating students who are interested in a 7 or 9-month contract teaching English in France's national school system. |
|
Dr.
Christina Ionescu provides guidance for the application process.
An information session for students interested in teaching English in France in the academic year 2011-2012 will be held in the Crabtree Multimedia Lab (Crabtree 329) on Tuesday, January 18, from 5:30 to 6:30. This programme is intended for graduating students from Canadian universities who wish to spend a year in France working as English language assistants in French universities. The deadline for submitting the application is February 24, 2010 (at
the absolute latest). Please submit it in person to the secretary of
Modern Languages and Literatures, Cheryl Reid, Crabtree 310, and address
it to the attention of Dr. Christina Ionescu. Students are strongly advised to ask professors in French at Mount Allison University to fill out their assessment forms (the referee needs to be able to evaluate your French).
