Objectives
These courses are a continuation of Japanese: JAPA 1001 and 1011.  Emphasis is placed on understanding grammatical elements and acquiring communication skills in both writing and speaking.  In these two courses, students will learn 150 additional KANJI characters will be learned.

Various aspects of Japanese culture including current topics will also be discussed in class. Audio-visual materials, such as videos/fillms/slides will be viewed. As well, newspaper/magazine articles will be examined.
