The Multimedia Language Lab is a PC computer lab consisting of 22 stations, each equipped with CAN-8, an interactive language learning system with sound, text, video, and graphic capabilities.

Although most lab work is done in the context of a formal class, the multimedia lab also serves as an ideal location for independent study, as students have access to computer-assisted language learning exercises, on-line dictionaries, grammar checks, CD-ROMs and the Internet.

The schedule for the use of the lab by classes
is posted on the door.

Any language student may use the lab for
independent study during free periods.

IMPORTANT: The fourth-hour language lab or conversation class components required by certain French, German, Japanese and Spanish courses are not scheduled until after classes have begun so that each student will be placed in a time slot compatible with the rest of his/her course schedule.
