FACULTY AND STAFF: Decima Mitchell, Resident Designer

  • Decima Mitchell has been the Resident Designer at Windsor Theatre since 1993. She designs sets and costumes for faculty and staff directed shows. As well, she is the costume shop supervisor. Decima also serves as a resource person for student designers, and teaches the Production 2 course in alternating years.

    Decima has mentored students engaged in fourth year independent studies over the years, where the topics have included set and costume design, makeup design, playwriting, and poster design.

    In addition to designing for the theatre, Decima has written and directed one act and full length plays as part of The Windsor Theatre Season.

    Decima received her visual arts and design training at UBC and at The Emily Carr College of Art and Design.
