Student Work
Classics and the classical tradition have been a well-spring of creative energy for millenia. The following are some examples of how Mount Allison students put their own spin on the ancients.
1999-2000
Helios, a folk-rock tune by Alana Hartley submitted as an optional creative assignment in Prof. Cohen's course on Gods and Goddesses (CLAS1651). The file linked above is a mp3 version of the song and about 2 Mb in size. (Alana has kindly allowed us to post the song here but she holds all rights to it.)
1998-1999
As an assignment in a course on ancient comedy, some students put together a scene from Aristophanes' goofy spoof on death, the gods and playwrights, called the Frogs. Can you transliterate the Greek letters on the boat in this tableau?
