| BIOLOGY 1001 - ECOLOGY, EVOLUTION AND DIVERSITY |

Course Description A lecture and laboratory course designed to present an introduction to the diversity of organisms and their relationship and interaction with their environment in the context of evolutionary theory. Topics will include Darwin's theory of natural selection, the genetic constitution of and changes in populations, population growth, the interactions of populations of different species and a survey of the major plant and animal taxa. THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR SCIENCE MAJORS. NON-SCIENCE STUDENTS SHOULD TAKE BIOLOGY 12O1. |
