BIOLOGY 3201 - ANIMAL PHYSIOLOGY: ADAPTATION AND ENVIRONMENT

Course Description

This course will focus on the physiological processes underpinning a monumental step in the evolution of the vertebrates, the transition from water to land. Specifically, the respiratory, circulatory and osmoregulatory adaptations seen in response to water-air transitions will be examined. The integration of animal physiology with the environment will also be studied by investigating metabolism and temperature.
