Welcome to the Department of Physics at Mount Allison University.
Our department promotes a very personal experience for our students. Small vigorous classes coupled with our varied research opportunities create a challenging but caring environment where genuine interaction between students and faculty is paramount. Our graduates leave our program with the skills, aptitude, and confidence to pursue further studies or related careers.
One aspect of our department is that many courses, including Physics 1041 and 1051, are taught using an experiential learning approach. Students learn through collaborative, hands-on activities. Students find this an effective and exciting method for grasping the concepts of each course.
