Economics, the study of how people organize to meet their material needs and desires, deals with a subject which dominates the every day lives of human beings. The Mount Allison University Economics department's teaching, research, and scholarly activities are undertaken to assist citizens interested in making free and informed judgments on economic matters rather than slavishly following the dictates of "custom and fashion".
