The Mount Allison Women's and Gender Studies Society is a new group on campus. We focus on facilitating discussions, and hosting events, around the theme of gender equality. We do this through thinking critically about gender, class, sexuality, and ability and how we can change attitudes of inequality, sexism, racism, and other forms of discrimination on campus and in the broader Sackville community.

We started our very own version of "Who Needs Feminism?" as a response to the well run campaigns of Duke and McGill. Feminism is such a complicated topic for many people, as it has a number of different definitions. Our goal with this campaign was to get the conversation going about feminism's relevance in today's world. This project displays the distinct opinions and definitions of feminism of Mount Allison students, facilitates a conversation about feminism, and gets people thinking of the importance and relevance of the MTA Women's and Gender Studies program. We have been thrilled with the results and hope this will spark interest in our society and the other plans we have for the year
