Travel Time Examples

Here are some examples of compensation scenarios that include travel time and worktime:If an employee travels 4 hours during their regular work week followed by 5 hours ofwork, the employee shall be compensated for a total of 9 hours at their regular rate.If an employee travels 4 hours during a weekend, holiday or vacation followed by 5 hoursof work, the employee shall be compensated for 4 hours at their regular rate and 5 hours atthe appropriate rate as outlined in Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.If an employee travels 4 hours during their regular work week followed by 8 hours ofwork, the employee shall be compensated at their regular rate for 11 hours and 1 hour atthe appropriate rate as outlined in Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.If an employee travels 4 hours during a weekend, holiday or vacation followed by 8 hoursof work, the employee shall be compensated at their regular rate for 4 hours and 8 hours atthe appropriate rate as outlined in Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.If an employee travels 4 hours during their regular work week followed by 3 hours ofwork, and then an additional 4 hours of travel, the employee shall be compensated for atotal of 11 hours at their regular rate.If an employee travels 4 hours during a weekend, holiday or vacation followed by 3 hoursof work, and then an additional 4 hours of travel, the employee shall be compensated fora total of 8 hours at their regular rate and 3 hours at the appropriate rate as outlined inArticle 22 of the Collective Agreement.If an employee travels a total of 12 hours during their regular work week followed by 3hours of work the employee shall be compensated for 15 hours at their regular rate.If an employee travels a total of 12 hours during a weekend, holiday or vacation followedby 3 hours of work the employee shall be compensated for 12 hours at their regular rateand 3 hours at the appropriate rate as outlined in Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.If an employee travels a total of 12 hours during their regular work week, on a weekend,holiday or vacation, the employee shall be compensated for a total of 12 hours at theirregular rate.
