Guidelines for the J. Armand Bombardier - International Travel Grant

Application Information:

Interns are responsible for all aspects of their internship, including meeting the requirements of the sponsoring organization, if any, and arranging public presentations/implementation of educational programming upon their return to Mount Allison.

The completed application form must include:

1. A description of the project/internship; including the community the intern will visit, the name and address of the sponsoring organization (if any); and a draft budget detailing the cost of the project/internship including travel, accommodations, living expenses, etc.   

2. A statement of the learning outcomes to be achieved and measured during the project/internship

3. A description of how the proposal will provide an experience that meets the requirements of the J. Armand Bombardier - International Travel Grant

4. Plans for sharing the experience with the Mount Allison community upon return

5. Outcome and assessment measurements that will be applied to evaluate the effectiveness of the project/internship in terms of academic, experiential, and leadership learning

End of Project/Internship Report/Follow-up:

At the end of the J.Armand Bombardier - International Travel Grant, the intern shall submit a report providing a synopsis of the experience, including an assessment of how the internship met the stated learning outcomes in the project/internship proposal. The end-of-project/internship report must be submitted within one month of the project/internship being concluded. Failure to do so may result in the revocation of the internship and return of funds provided.

Provide a description of the projet/internship, including the name of, if any, the sponsoring organization.  Your application should confirm that you will be returning to Mount Allison when the project/internship is completed.         (limit 500 words)

 

Provide information about your plans for the educational components of the internship, including academic, experiential and/or leadership development outcomes.      (limit 400 words)

 

Please send a electronic version of your Draft Budget to leadership@mta.ca.  Budget should include anticipated costs, travel, accommodations, living expenses, etc., as well as any revenues outside the funds provided by the J. Armand Bombardier - International Travel Grant.
