
Guidelines for the J. Armand Bombardier - International Travel Grant
The Leadership Mount Allison program is pleased to acknowledge the support of the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation, through the establishment of the J.A. Bombardier - International Travel Grant which is designed to provide Mount Allison students with a unique leadership development opportunity. Each year the International Travel Grant will provide funding to a returning Mount Allison student(s), for travel costs associated with an overseas experience for which the student(s) will receive academic credit and whicth involves a special project or internship with governmental, non-governmental, or not-for-profit organizations.
SELECTION IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
1. Student is/will be beyond their 1st year of academic studies at time of implementing/completing the internship
2. Minimum term GPA of 3.2
3. Approval for an experiential learning credit.
4. Project/internship is directly affiliated with a not-for-profit, governmental, non-governmental agency
Please note: Research projects with an organization working in a developing country are also eligible for funding.
The application should include a letter outlining the nature of the project/internship and how it meets the requirements noted above; confirmation that application for an experiential learning credit has been/will be approved (note: confirmation of approval for an experiential learning credit must be provided prior to any disbursement); an unofficial transcript confirming a term GPA of 3.2 or higher.
This award is open to students from any discipline.
