Leonard Brooks

Born in London, England, Leonard Brooks moved to Toronto as a young boy. During World War II he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy as an Able Seaman and served on minesweepers and motor torpedo boats. He was commissioned as an official war artist in 1944 and returned to Canada in 1945. He moved to Mexico in 1947 and as of 1995 resided in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
