Dictionary of Canadian Biography Online
Online Version of the Dictionary of Canadian Biography/Dictionnaire biographique du Canada (DCB/DBC), covering "persons who died between the years 1000 and 1920 or whose last known date of activity falls within these years." A joint project of the Université Laval and the University of Toronto; licensed by The Department of Canadian Heritage and made available on the National Archives of Canada and National Library of Canada website.
