Interlibrary Loans

BEFORE YOU PLACE AN ILL REQUEST: You should only use interlibrary loan if you are certain that the item you need is not available in our library. Please make sure that you check the library catalogue, journal finder, or the many databases you have access to at Mount Allison before placing an order. If you need help, please ask a librarian. The fastest way to get an item is to find it here. An excessive number of requests slows down the service for everyone.

You may use the library's interlibrary loan service to request items not owned by or accessible via the MTA Libraries by following the instructions and completing the Web form below.

Please note: To use this service, your fines must be paid in full; there can be no books overdue in your account.

The MTA Libraries are pleased to offer the East Coast Relais Consortium (ECRC) Web forms for Mount Allison University Faculty and Students. Our participation within the resource-sharing consortium and use of the web form will expedite the processing and routing of your interlibrary loan requests.

For more information, including tips and additional instructions, please read our Interlibrary Loan Policy.

Step 1:

If you don't already have a PIN for your library account, ask for one at the Circulation Desk.

Step 2:

Open the Web form (below) and log in using the 13 digit library barcode number on your Mt. A ID and your 4 digit PIN.

Step 3:

Place your request by completing as much of the form as you can.

The Default Delivery Method for digital documents is by email. Please ensure that your Mount Allison (mta.ca) email address appears in the appropriate box. If you prefer to pick up your request, please change Delivery Method to pickup.
