Borrow an iPad

The library has an iPad available for students, staff and faculty members to borrow.

Borrowing the iPad

The iPad is available at the Access Services desk in the R.P. Bell Library. It may be borrowed for up to four hours, or overnight as of two hours before closing.

The iPad is loaned with a case, a power adaptor and charge cord, and carrying bag.

Late fees of $2.00 per hour will be charged if the iPad is not returned on time.

Returning the iPad to the Library

Please return the iPad, case, power adaptor and charge cord, and carrying bag to the Access Services Desk during regular service hours. Do not place any of these items in the Book Return box.

Charging the iPad

The iPad is loaned with the power adaptor and charge cord. If borrowing the iPad overnight, please return it the following morning fully charged (or as fully charged as possible).

Please use the power adaptor and charge cord provided. Do not attempt to use other cords or chargers as this could damage the iPad.

Loss, damage or theft

The borrower is responsible for any damage to the iPad, case, power adaptor, charge cord and carrying bag. The borrower is also responsible if any of these items is lost or stolen.

The borrower will be charged a $50 processing fee plus the full cost of replacement if the iPad, case, power adaptor, charge cord or carrying bag is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair. The borrower will be charged the full cost of repair for lesser damage.
