LibQUAL+ Library Survey

Survey Prize Winners

5 April 2013 - Congratulations to the lucky students whose names were drawn from eligible participants in the Libraries and Archives’ recent LibQual+ survey.  They are:

First Prize Winner: Avni Garg  ($250 in Mountie Money)
Second Prize Winner: Cassandra Muldoon-Gorchynski  ($150 in Mountie Money)
Third Prize Winners:  Advait Vij and Jiyoung Yang  ($75 in Mountie Money)

The Libraries and Archives wish to thank all those who took the time to complete the survey; the information we received will help us as we continue to improve our services and collections.  The results will be shared later in the Spring.

Please help us to improve the Mount Allison University Libraries and Archives!

1 March 2013 - On Monday, 4 March 2013, Mount Allison students, faculty and staff will receive an e-mail providing a link to a library service quality survey known as LibQUAL+.  As we continue improving services and collections in the Libraries and Archives, it is important that we understand the perceptions of each member of our campus community, so that we may provide and strengthen the services and resources that you want and need.

The survey’s goal is to help evaluate quality by measuring perceptions and expectations about the Libraries and Archives.  Mount Allison participated in LibQUAL+ in 2010, and we responded to what we learned then by increasing library hours of operation, adding new computers, adding new power outlets where possible, and bringing the third-floor Theatre space up to the campus standard for technology (currently in progress).  Your voice was heard, and we'd like to hear from you again!

By responding to the survey, you will provide us with essential information.  When you receive the e-mail, we ask you to take the time to complete the Web survey (it should only take 15 or 20 minutes).  Your participation is critical to improving the Mount A. Libraries and Archives and we greatly appreciate your help!

When you complete the survey, you will be given the opportunity to have your name entered in a draw for Mountie Money:

- First prize = $250 in Mountie Money;
- Second prize = $150 in Mountie Money;
- Third prizes (two) = $75 in Mountie Money

Please note that non-student employees of the University Libraries and Archives are ineligible for the draw prizes.

If you have any difficulty in accessing the survey, or if you have other questions relating to LibQUAL+ and the Libraries and Archives, please don't hesitate to send an e-mail to libqual@mta.ca.

We look forward to learning what you think about how we're doing and what we can do better.
